The following steps will help you to change the PHP version in the cPanel control panel.
1. Log in to your cPanel control panel.2. In the "SOFTWARE" section, select the "Select PHP Version" tool.
3. On the page that opens, you'll immediately see the PHP Extensions section and the Current PHP Version.
By default, new cPanel accounts inherit the PHP version from the server, along with all the settings and extensions. This is indicated by the word "native" in the version field.
The native version does not allow you to manually change your account's PHP options and add/remove extensions.
4. To change the PHP version, click the triangle to pop up a list of options.
5. Select the required PHP version from the list.
6. Make sure to click "Set as current" to start using the selected version in your account.
You have successfully changed your version of PHP.
The selected version will apply to all sites in that cPanel account.
